Overseasidol.com — On the evening of April 9, Chinese singer Huang Zitao revealed during a livestream that he had invested in and co-founded a sanitary pad factory through a shareholder partnership.
The factory is located in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. According to Red Star News, a search through China’s National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System showed that in December 2024, Huang’s wholly owned company partnered with others to establish a new internet technology firm.
In April 2025, this new company invested in an existing personal care product manufacturer in Dongyang, Jinhua, which underwent a name change prior to the investment.
On April 10, staff from the care product company confirmed to reporters that they are indeed collaborating with Huang Zitao on sanitary pad production, and that the manufacturing process is already underway.
During his livestream, Huang announced that he plans to distribute 50,000 sanitary pad samples at the symbolic price of one cent to gather user feedback, which will then be used to finalize the product.
Huang emphasized the seriousness of the project, stating, “For us, this is a gamble on our entire future, all our credibility, and everything we have. I won’t allow anything to go wrong,”.
