Her sudden death has left her mother, Huang Chunmei, devastated and struggling with deep grief.
Despite seeking psychiatric care and receiving treatment, including antidepressant injections, her emotional recovery has been slow, with frequent late-night breakdowns reported.
As Mother’s Day approaches, her younger daughter, Dee Hsu (“Xiao S”), has reportedly moved out of her luxury residence to live with their mother in the apartment known as “The Gallery”.
The home was purchased by Barbie during her lifetime specifically for their mother’s comfort.
Barbie and her mother had a long-standing tradition: every weekend, they would dine together and spend time bonding, a ritual they continued even during periods of tension.
With Barbie’s passing, Dee has now stepped in to uphold that promise, moving in with their older sister, Hsu Hsi-hsien, to ensure their mother is not left alone in her grief.
