However, the announcement quickly drew backlash after an error was spotted in one of the promotional visuals.
In the image displaying the gift-with-purchase campaign rules (which offers an acrylic stand for purchases over ¥239), only 6 members of the group were shown, with Liu Yaowen notably missing.
The image was posted across multiple official platforms, sparking outrage among fans.
In response, MINISO issued a public apology via their social media accounts.
“We deeply value every member of Tiem Shidian Shaonian Tuan and truly cherish this collaboration.
Our team was overly excited and mistakenly released an incorrect version of the material. We sincerely apologize to Yaowen and all fans.
The error has been corrected and we are reviewing all materials to ensure this doesn’t happen again,” the statement read.
MINISO ended their message by thanking fans for their understanding and continued support.
