Overseasidol.com — On December 18, Siba Media, through its legal representatives, issued a rights protection statement concerning a dispute with former artist Zeng Yanfen.
In the statement, the company accused her of spreading false information and released a police report receipt to confirm that the matter has been formally reported to authorities.
According to Siba Media’s lawyer, unfounded claims, including allegations such as “arranging members to accompany drinking,” constitute defamation and malicious slander.
The statement said that these claims have been widely circulated, reposted, and commented on online, causing serious harm to the company’s reputation and commercial credibility, as well as triggering significant public backlash.
Later that day, Zeng Yanfen published another lengthy response addressing the controversy. In her statement, she shared personal accounts from her time as a member of SNH48, particularly regarding her income.
She revealed that when she ranked fourth, her monthly salary was approximately 25,000 to 30,000 yuan, while her fans had collectively spent more than seven million yuan to support her during the group’s general election.
Zeng Yanfen emphasized that the income she received was largely made possible by her fans’ sacrifices.
She said she had already expressed dissatisfaction with the company’s system while she was still active in the group, which she believes led to strained relations with management and cold treatment from company leaders.
Responding to the accusations against her, Zeng Yanfen firmly stated that she had not lied and had no intention of harming anyone.
She said she was simply recounting her own experiences of how the company treated her, other members, and fans, which ultimately led to her decision to leave the group.
The dispute between the two sides continues to attract widespread public attention and debate online.
