Overseasidol.com — Thai actress Min Pechaya and veteran actor Sam Yuranunt have formally requested a delay in their prosecution related to the high-profile iCon Group fraud case.
The request comes just as legal proceedings were set to begin.
Earlier, Thailand’s Attorney General had ordered the prosecution of the two suspects, widely known as “Boss Min” and “Boss Sam,” over allegations of involvement in a public fraud scheme linked to iCon Group.
The Office of the Special Cases Prosecutor had originally scheduled the indictment for March 26, 2026.
However, on that same day, Yaowalak, head of the Special Cases Division at the Ratchadaphisek Criminal Court, confirmed that prosecutors received an official request from both individuals.
In their submission, Min Pechaya and Sam Yuranunt stated that they are still in the process of securing bail funds and appointing legal representation, prompting their request for additional time.
Following the request, prosecutors agreed to postpone the indictment by 30 days, allowing the suspects more time to prepare their legal defense before the case proceeds further.
