Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese idol group TPE48 has officially unveiled a major structural change through its latest Team Shuffle event held on April 5, 2026.
The announcement included the formation of two new teams, Team TIII and Team P, marking the beginning of a new system aligned with the global 48 Group structure.
Team TIII was introduced with the official color Teal Blue and is led by captain Chang Shao-tong.
Team TIII members include Lau Hiu-ching, Lin Yu-hsin, Yi Pin, Chang Yu-lin, Chang Shao-tong, Su Heng-yu, Chen Zhao-ni, Chen Yi-ling, Tang Ching, Chen Jia-yi, Liu Zi-fei, Hu Yung-ching, Yang Chia-yi, Yu Zi-lei, and Lu Hsin-en.
Meanwhile, Team P adopts Polish Red as its team color and is captained by Meng Ting-yun.
Team P consists of Meng Ting-yun, Tsai Ya-en, Lin Yi-yun, Huang Yi-lin, Chen Ying-zhen, Huang Yu-yan, Hsu Pei-wan, Chen Tai-ling, Tsai Ciao-yin, Chen Qiao-yi, Chen Jia-yi, Yang Ya-yun, Lin Yu-hsin, Xu Chun-yuan, Chang Hsin-chiao, and Liu Yan-ning.
Both teams are set to officially begin their activities on August 1, 2026.
This move represents a significant step for TPE48 in aligning its team naming system with the standardized structure used across the AKB48 franchise.
Prior to this transition, when the group was still known as AKB48 Team TP, members were organized into units rather than formal teams, with names like Unit Tic Tac Toe and Unit Peek A Boo.
