Overseasidol.com — Thai actor Pond Naravit has come under public attention after experiencing an unsettling incident at a hotel in Shanghai, China.

He was reportedly approached closely by an individual suspected to be a sasaeng fan.

A video circulating online shows Pond being escorted by his team and security personnel as he quickly headed toward an elevator to avoid the situation.

The footage quickly spread across social media, sparking widespread discussion.

In a follow-up interview, Pond Naravit described his initial reaction as shock.

He explained that the individual approached him suddenly without warning, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere.

He emphasized that his decision to leave immediately was not only for personal safety but also to prevent potential chaos that could affect other hotel guests.

Staying longer could have attracted more attention and caused unnecessary disturbance.

Pond added that his team had already arranged security measures in advance, including personnel deployment and movement planning.

However, unpredictable situations like this remain difficult to fully control.

Meanwhile, fellow actor Phuwin Tangsakyuen shared his perspective, noting that such incidents are not uncommon for artists traveling abroad, even though many cases go unrecorded.

He revealed that their agency, GMMTV, has been strengthening security measures, including increasing the number of security staff to handle growing fan attention and complex environments.

Phuwin also mentioned that conflicts between fans and security staff can occur, especially when fans feel restricted from taking photos or getting closer.

In such cases, security teams act as the first line of defense.
