Chinese singer Han Hong has publicly apologized for comments she made during the premiere event of the movie I Know Who You Are, following criticism from the public.

In her statement, Han said she carefully reviewed the video of her speech and read the feedback and suggestions shared by netizens.

She admitted that her casual use of the phrase “zou ge mian” intended as a request for support, was inappropriate and created an unfavorable impression.

Han Hong acknowledged that her words were spoken without enough thought and expressed deep regret for disappointing the public who have supported and trusted her over the years.

She also promised to be more careful with her public remarks in the future.

Meanwhile, rumors claiming that Han Hong would leave charity work have been denied by her foundation.
