Thai actor Nadech Kugimiya has spoken publicly for the first time about the viral video recorded by a ride driver that showed the route to his home.
The incident sparked widespread discussion over celebrity privacy and personal safety.
Nadech said he understands the criticism the driver has faced online and has no intention of taking legal action against him.
He explained that his concern was never about being filmed.
Instead, he was worried that the video clearly showed the entire route to his residence, which could expose his home location and put his family at risk.
According to Nadech, neither side was entirely at fault. He noted that drivers often use cameras for their own protection, while he himself did not ask whether the footage would later be shared publicly.
The actor also confirmed that he will continue using motorcycle taxis and ride-hailing services as usual.
However, he hopes drivers will ask for passengers’ permission before uploading videos to social media to avoid similar misunderstandings.
Nadech Kugimiya concluded by stressing that he has no plans to file a lawsuit.
He believes the incident should serve as a valuable lesson for everyone about respecting privacy and ensuring personal safety. (Overseasidol.com)
