KLP48 has released an official statement to address public confusion regarding AKT38.
The management emphasized that AKT38 has no affiliation, partnership, or official connection with KLP48.
In the statement published on July 7, 2026, KLP48 explained that the AKT38 logo has circulated online and drawn comparisons because of its similarities in design, color scheme, and typography.
To help the public distinguish between the two, the statement included both logos for comparison.
According to KLP48, AKT38 is an independent cosplay photography team operating in Malaysia.
While respecting its creative activities, the management stressed that the group is not part of the AKB48 sister group network and has not been authorized to use branding associated with KLP48.
The management also urged fans to rely only on KLP48’s official communication channels and to be cautious of organizations, merchandise, social media accounts, or publications that use names or branding similar to KLP48 without official authorization. (Overseasidol.com)
