The estate of late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu has once again become a hot topic after Taiwanese media reported that her bank savings totaled only around NT$2 million.
The amount is reportedly not enough to cover the monthly mortgage payment for her luxury residence in Taipei Xinyi, which is estimated at NT$1 million to NT$1.09 million.
Earlier, Koo Jun Yup announced that he would not claim his share of Barbie Hsu’s inheritance.
He is also reported to regularly visit her grave. Meanwhile, her former husband, Wang Xiaofei, continues to pay the mortgage on the property.
According to Wang Xiaofei, the luxury residence is intended to be inherited by the couple’s two children in the future.
He has also established a trust fund to ensure the children’s inheritance will be used for their education and long-term needs.
Under the reported inheritance arrangement, the two children are entitled to two-thirds of the estate, while the remaining one-third legally belongs to DJ Koo.
Wang Xiaofei’s side stated that DJ Koo will decide how to handle his portion based on his own plans. (Overseasidol.com)
