AKB48 Opens 19th Generation Member Audition

OVERSEASIDOL.COM — On October 22, AKB48 announced that they will be holding auditions for 19th generation members.

The announcement was made during a concert held at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan.

The audition application has been opened on AKB48’s official website on the same day at 20:00 until November 19, 2023 at 23:59 JST.

The requirements applied to become a member of the AKB48 idol group include the following:

1. Residing in Japan.
2. Not signed a contract with another agency and aged between 6th grade to a maximum of 19 years old as of November 19, 2023.
3. Must participate in the second and subsequent selection rounds.
4. May appear on TV, web, and various other media during the selection process.
5. Can sign a contract with a production company after passing this audition.
6. If successful, must be able to move to Tokyo and live there as soon as possible.
7. Can perform at AKB48 Theater every day after passing this audition.
