Overseasidol.com — On December 4, AKB48 premiered the music video for “Oh my pumpkin!” on their official YouTube channel.
The song is part of their 66th single, which was officially released on August 13, 2025.
This single is one of the highlights of AKB48’s 20th anniversary celebration.
It brings together one of the largest senbatsu lineups in the group’s history, including members from several overseas sister groups.
The music video shows a refreshed version of AKB48, combining the energy of the new generation with the presence of senior members.
The lyrics were written by Yasushi Akimoto, while the music was composed by Kenta Urashima and ShinQ. The arrangement was also done by ShinQ.
The senbatsu lineup includes Yuna Akiyama, Sae Arai, Momoka Ito, Yui Oguri, Narumi Kuranoo, Airi Sato, Erii Chiba, Mei Hanada, Mion Mukaichi, Azuki Yagi, and Mizuki Yamauchi. Overseas members such as Shania Gracia from JKT48, Patalee “Hoop” from BNK48, Christine “CJ” from MNL48, Gui ChuChu from Team SH, Lin YuHsin from Team TP, Lookked from CGM48, and Yi Shyan from KLP48 also participated.
Legendary members Atsuko Maeda, Minami Takahashi, Haruna Kojima, and Rino Sashihara made appearances as well.
The production was led by Producer Hikari Iwamoto from TYO. Several teams handled make-up, styling, choreography, lighting, and set design to bring the video to life.
The director of the music video was Noboru Wada from AGLAONEMA, supported by an experienced creative and technical team.
This release marks a new chapter for AKB48 as they continue their journey into the next era with both fresh talent and iconic senior members.
