This is officially marking his return to acting after a one-year hiatus after a controversial post about retirement from entertainment industry.
At the event, Xu expressed his heartfelt emotions about his comeback.
“After this year-long journey, I have finally returned to Hengdian.
The happiest moments in my life are, first, being with my parents, and second, receiving the script for this drama and being part of today’s opening ceremony,” he said.
Previously, on March 15, 2024, Tsui had announced via his social media that he planned to step away from his acting career.
Later, on September 6, he shared the reason behind his decision, revealing that his father had been suffering from a degenerative illness for six years, and his condition had worsened recently.
He chose to prioritize his family during that time.
