Overseasidol.com — Cherprang Areekul is set to return to the screen as lead character in the upcoming epic series “Loveless Heroine”.
The show is adapted from a hit webtoon that reimagines the Thai literary classic “Khun Chang Khun Phaen” through a modern and contemporary lens.
This marks Cherprang’s third historical drama, following her praised performances in “Busaba Lui Fai” and “Jom Jai Ayothaya”.
The production is described as a large-scale collaboration, featuring an all-star cast and a powerful creative team.
Cherprang’s role as Pen Nueng, a modern, strong-willed woman who refuses to let others dictate her destiny showcases a bold new side of her as an actress.
The project is a major international co-production, involving TrueVisions NOW, Juvenile Co., Ltd., LINE WEBTOON Thailand, and WEBTOON Productions under WEBTOON Entertainment.
The executive producers include Thiti Sutthikulpanich, Aron Levitz (President of Wattpad), David Madden (President of WEBTOON Productions), and Ryan Benitez (Head of Project Development at WEBTOON Productions).
Cherprang shared that this role pushed her beyond her comfort zone and allowed her to explore deeper emotional layers as an actress.
“It’s a big transformation for me, and I’m very excited to take on this challenge,” she said.
The filming of “Loveless Heroine” is set to begin in early 2026, with a planned release between Q3 and Q4 of the same year.
