Overseasidol.com — Popular Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has come forward with new details about an alleged assault by the CEO of her agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, during a livestream on the night of August 13.
Zhao stated, “I wouldn’t call it a beating. He was just angry because I didn’t get a role and scolded me in the restroom for three hours. Then he told me to leave, and I said okay. When I went to get my bag, he was drunk, chased after me, pulled my hair, and slapped me,”.
She revealed that the incident occurred at around 4 a.m., and by 7 a.m., the man had called her mother, hinting at the altercation.
Zhao noted that her mother habitually records phone calls, so the conversation was preserved as evidence.
On August 12, staff from Galaxy Cool Entertainment firmly denied the allegations, stating, “That’s not true. The company will respond gradually to the situation. We are monitoring every comment online,”.
The controversy first surfaced in late 2024, when one of Zhao’s friends disclosed that in April 2019, while Zhao was auditioning in Beijing, she was allegedly verbally abused and struck by her boss at around 2 a.m.
The boss reportedly berated her for failing the audition and mocked her weight, later apologizing and blaming alcohol.
At the time, Zhao reportedly avoided escalating the matter due to her still-active contract.
The boss allegedly even told Zhao’s mother that her daughter was “disobedient”.
The friend emphasized that all details shared publicly had been approved by Zhao Lusi herself.
