Overseasidol.com — On August 29, the Qixi Festival, the romantic film “7 Tian” or “7 Days”, officially premiered in cinemas across China.
The movie stars Jiang Qiming and Zhang Yifan, telling the story of a boy who can see the countdown of love and his fateful encounter with a girl named Wen Qian.
During the premiere event in Shanghai, director Qiu Yujie, producer Yin Lu, and lead actors Jiang Qiming and Zhang Yifan attended to interact with fans.

The story follows Chen Choushi, a dentist played by Jiang Qiming, who has the ability to see the time limit of relationships.
When he falls in love at first sight with Wen Qian, he realizes their time together is only seven days.
To preserve their love, the two decide to stretch those seven days into a lifetime, meeting once every seven years to keep their bond everlasting.
Jiang admitted that playing such a role was a challenge for him. He revealed that he is usually reserved about showing emotions, but this role required him to fully immerse himself.
To get closer to the character, he carefully observed his co-star’s gestures and reactions, letting subtle details shape his performance.
For Zhang Yifan, portraying Wen Qian meant shedding her youthful image and stepping into the role of a woman with strength and emotional depth.
To understand the character, she kept a diary in Wen Qian’s perspective and created backstories to explore her inner world.
She described Wen Qian as someone who always knows what she wants, even when love burns the brightest.
Many details in the film came naturally from the actors’ chemistry. For example, a line where Wen Qian says “You can’t hold me like this, I’m too tall” was inspired by Zhang Yifan’s real height during rehearsals.
Director Qiu Yujie revealed that several intimate moments, such as peeling shrimp for each other or naturally adjusting seats, were spontaneous acts by the actors, adding authenticity to the romance.
