Overseasidol.com — On December 17, Siba Media reignited public attention surrounding its contractual dispute with actress Ju Jingyi by reposting a legal statement and openly raising questions directed at the artist.
The company accused Ju Jingyi of engaging in wordplay and providing misleading explanations regarding the status of her contract.
Siba Media challenged Ju Jingyi’s assertion that her contract had expired naturally.
According to the company, if the contract had indeed ended on its own, it would be difficult to explain why Ju Jingyi previously filed a lawsuit seeking the termination and dissolution of the agreement.
The company further questioned her decision to voluntarily withdraw the lawsuit, suggesting that this move warrants a reasonable explanation to the public.
In its statement, Siba Media clarified that the disputed “Supplementary Agreement” did not stipulate that the contract would end when Ju Jingyi turned 30.
Instead, it merely redefined the scope of agency representation. Regarding the authenticity of the signature, the company accused Ju Jingyi’s side of altering the interpretation of the forensic appraisal by removing a single word, thereby changing the original conclusion that it was “impossible to determine whether the handwriting belonged to Ju Jingyi herself”.
Siba Media also firmly denied claims that it had obstructed Ju Jingyi’s career development or group activities.
The company emphasized that it had consistently provided comprehensive support, calling allegations of interference baseless and unfounded.
Earlier, Siba Media released a detailed statement outlining its long-term cooperation with Ju Jingyi.
The company disclosed that it had invested approximately 160 million yuan in planning her acting career, including the production of the television drama Legend of Yunxi.
It also revealed that Ju Jingyi received a fixed monthly income of 250,000 yuan and was provided with a 155-square-meter residence, which was later requested to be replaced with a larger unit.
Additionally, Siba Media stated that it covered travel expenses not only for Ju Jingyi herself but also for her personal friends.
As the dispute continues, the situation remains under close public scrutiny, with audiences awaiting clearer and more transparent explanations from both parties involved.
