Overseasidol.com — Chinese singer Curley Gao has officially released her new EP titled The Moon in Her Eyes.
The title carries a meaningful concept, with the “moon” echoing her previous project Staring at the Sun Through Sunglasses, which used the symbol of the “sun”.
Together, the two works create a dialogue of light and perspective.
This mini-album features three songs, led by the main track “Antigravity”.
The other two tracks are “I Can” and “So I Live Like This” the latter of which was released in late July.
For this project, Curley collaborated with six female creators. She described the experience as “truly joyful,” explaining that every song was chosen simply because ‘the moment felt right’.
When speaking about her musical style, Gao gave a clear answer.
“My genres are diverse. It can be rock, ballad, or jazz. But the core of every song is vitality,” she said.
Whether through energetic rock or tender ballads, her mission is to express resilience and the spirit of never giving up.
Looking ahead, Curley hopes to continue collaborating with female creators and musicians, shining a spotlight on talents in the industry who often go unnoticed.
On a personal note, she also shared her dream of meeting her idol Taylor Swift.
She hopes one day there will be an opportunity for collaboration with the global pop star.
