Overseasidol.com — Thai singer and actor Daou Pittaya Pitiya recently opened up in an emotional interview on Kui Zaap Show.
He sharing his inspiring journey from a humble childhood in a traditional Chinese opera family to becoming one of today’s most beloved T-POP idol and series actor.
He reflected on years of hard work, loss, and friendship especially his close bond with Offroad, his musical partner and co-star in several hit projects.
Born into a family that ran a Chinese opera troupe, Daou grew up surrounded by art but also hardship.
His parents often worked late into the night, leaving him under the care of his grandmother and aunt.
To help ease the family’s financial burden, he started working at a young age selling goods at local markets and waiting tables for just 24 baht per hour.
His passion for music developed naturally. By age 18, he was performing in nighttime music venues, earning enough to support himself and even buy his own motorcycle.
“It was exhausting but fulfilling,” he recalled. “Every baht I earned felt meaningful because it was mine,”.
