Overseasidol.com — On April 14, He Meiyan, a former trainee from the Chinese reality show “Youth With You 2,” made a series of shocking allegations on social media accusing her husband rapper Liang Laoshi, of domestic violence.
In her posts, she claimed she had been repeatedly subjected to physical abuse, including being punched, kicked, slapped, and even choked to the point of nearly losing consciousness.
She stated that the assaults occurred in places without surveillance and that Liang later dismissed them as mere “self-defense.”
In response to the accusations, Liang Laoshi issued a lengthy apology on social media. He explained that the couple had gotten into a heated argument the previous night over work-related matters.
To avoid further confrontation, he retreated to their children’s room, but He Meiyan, who had been drinking, became furious when she couldn’t get in and later vented her anger by posting on social media.
Liang admitted their marriage happened quickly due to an unexpected pregnancy and that they hadn’t had the chance to truly understand one another before tying the knot, which had led to frequent and intense arguments.
Following Liang’s statement, He Meiyan also apologized publicly. She acknowledged that their recent disputes stemmed from ongoing communication issues and domestic stress.
She admitted to losing control during repeated arguments and failing to resolve issues early on, which only made things worse.
She noted that her inappropriate posts have been permanently deleted and vowed not to harm others as a way of expressing her emotions moving forward.
It is worth noting that on November 11, 2021, Liang Laoshi publicly announced his marriage to He Meiyan. The couple, who are parents to twin children, had previously been seen by many fans as a model relationship within the Chinese rapper community.
