Overseasidol.com — The conflict between actress Zhang Zhixi and Galaxy Cool Entertainment has intensified.
On August 6, Galaxy Cool issued an official legal notice to Zhang, accusing her of spreading false and misleading information.
The company demanded she cease such actions immediately or face legal action.
Zhang quickly responded on social media, firmly stating, “The contract terms are clearly written. If you choose to ignore them, then let’s settle this in court!,”.
The dispute stems from the upcoming drama “Long For Fish”.
Zhang claimed she originally intended to cast Zhao Lusi in the lead role.
However, Zhao did not take the role, and more controversially, Zhang’s company was listed only as a ‘co-producer’, not the main production company, in the drama’s promotional materials.
In a same-day statement, Galaxy Cool addressed Zhang’s accusations.
The company clarified that their only agreement with Bunny Rabbit Pictures, Zhang’s company, involved acquiring the novel’s copyright.
They denied any broader cooperation, especially regarding promotion or distribution rights.
Galaxy Cool further demanded that Bunny Rabbit Pictures and Zhang rectify all breaches of contract, stop infringing activities, and eliminate negative impacts.
They warned that failure to comply would result in civil litigation to protect their legal rights.

With Zhang Zhi Xi publicly challenging Galaxy Cool to “see them in court,” all eyes are now on how this legal standoff will unfold.
