Overseasidol.com — Hinatazaka46 has officially announced the Senbatsu lineup for their 16th single titled “Cliffhanger,” set to be released on January 28, 2026.
In a major milestone for the group, fifth-generation member Ono Manami has been selected as Center, marking her first time in the position and the first time a Gen 5 member leads a Hinatazaka46 single.
The Senbatsu lineup for this release features 14 members from Generations 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Representing Gen 2 are Kanemura Miku, Kosaka Nao, and Matsuda Konoka, who continue to serve as the group’s senior core.
Gen 3 is represented by Takahashi Mikuni. Meanwhile, Gen 4 dominates the selection with members Konishi Nanami, Shimizu Rio, Shogenji Yoko, Fujishima Kaho, Miyachi Sumire, Yamashita Haruka, and Watanabe Rina.
The fifth generation makes a remarkable debut in this single, with Ono Manami leading the lineup, accompanied by fellow Gen 5 members Takai Rika and Matsuo Sakura, both participating in Senbatsu for the first time.
The front row formation features Kosaka Nao, Ono Manami as the Center, and Shogenji Yoko.
This single also marks the final appearance of Matsuda Konoka, adding emotional weight to the release.
