Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group INI has announced the release of its new digital single “Sand Castle,” set to launch on June 10, 2026.
The track serves as the collaboration song for the Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collection “ORIGINS,” bringing together music, fashion, and visual art in a unified creative concept.
Inspired by the world of ORIGINS, the collaboration explores themes of cultural roots, identity, and personal values discovered through journeys across different cultures.
The collection highlights flowing silhouettes, lightweight materials, and earthy colors inspired by sunlit landscapes, reflecting inner strength, optimism, and the harmony between tradition and modernity.
“Sand Castle” marks a major milestone for INI as it is the group’s first song performed entirely in English.
The track uses the image of a sand castle as a metaphor for preconceived ideas and limitations people build around themselves.
Through its lyrics, the song encourages listeners to confront those boundaries, break them down, and move forward toward new forms of self-expression.
Built on a smooth and airy R&B sound, “Sand Castle” showcases the members’ evolving vocal abilities while highlighting a more mature artistic direction.
The song reflects INI’s willingness to challenge itself creatively and explore new dimensions of musical expression.
Adding another layer of uniqueness to the project, the official artwork for “Sand Castle” was created by INI member Rihito Ikezaki.
Through his delicate and expressive illustrations, he visually captures the song’s themes and emotional atmosphere.
