Overseasidol.com — On September 23, Chinese actress Ireine Song Yiren issued a long statement addressing Yu Menglong’s death controversies.

She emphasized that she was not at the scene of the incident and only learned about the news later that morning.

Song also clarified that she comes from an ordinary family and has no connections to so-called “capital tycoons”.

In her response, Song Yiren provided several key clarifications. She explained that some of the screenshots circulating online were misleading.

One live photo contained background audio from a different day, where a friend complained about her own husband, not Song herself.

Another was taken while she was dining with her assistant in Jiaxing during a program shoot, with other guests nearby, and she was unaware of the surrounding conversations.

She also clarified that her photo with teacher Cheng was taken when she was only 13 years old during a show recording, and they had no contact afterward.

Song stressed that her family is ordinary, denying claims that her father transferred 2.7 billion yuan to “Teacher Tian” or that she knew individuals such as Fang or Tian mentioned online.

Regarding her residence, Song admitted she had once rented a high-rise apartment in Building 18 but moved out nine months ago, so recent photos of that location do not reflect her current whereabouts.

She also denied being the woman shown in alleged dimly lit photos circulating online, including rumors about someone “going to her house to collect clothes”.

In the long post, Song highlighted five important points. She insisted she never fled abroad, is not connected to any “capital tycoon,” and works solely through her own efforts.

She admitted to deleting old posts to avoid misunderstandings but firmly denied fabrications.

Ireine Song revealed that she has already filed a report with the police and taken legal action against defamation and cyberbullying.

She expressed hope that justice will prevail and that no one else will be harmed by online rumors.
