Many fans speculated that he might be preparing to marry his girlfriend, actress Pie Rinrada.
The couple made an appearance together at a recent event, where James cleared the air.
He explained that the good news was actually the premiere of his musical Farewell to Singlehood and Old Nemesis.
“Many people misunderstood,” James said. “Some even came to congratulate me about marriage or a baby. I had to tell them it’s not true. It’s just about my musical,” he said.
The actor admitted that even close friends and relatives sent him messages asking about a wedding. He said it became a kind of unintentional publicity.
As for marriage plans, James revealed that there is no timeline yet.
“We’ve been together for only two and a half years. Both of us are still focused on work and want to enjoy life first. I’ve always said, if I get married one day, I hope it’s with her.
But we’ve never set a date, because making a plan would feel like a restriction,” he added.
