Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actress and singer Joanne Tseng, made a radiant public appearance on May 29, where she opened up about her new life as a mother.
During the event, she sweetly revealed that she had secretly given her son the adorable nickname “Tian Mi”, which translates to “Sweet” in English, during her pregnancy.
Tseng expressed how overwhelmingly happy and fulfilled she has felt since welcoming her child, despite the inevitable exhaustion that comes with caring for a newborn.
She also shared that she and her husband, Calvin Chen, former member of the popular boy band Fahrenheit, have adopted a shared parenting system, even setting up shifts to ensure both are equally involved in raising their son.
“It can be tiring, but every moment with our baby turns that exhaustion into joy,” she said with a warm smile.
When asked about plans for a second child, Zeng responded with a calm and open heart, “We’re taking it as it comes. For now, our priority is to give all our love to our firstborn,”.
Tseng and Chen’s romance reportedly began around 2009, and after years of keeping their relationship private, the couple tied the knot in January 2020.
In August 2023, they announced their pregnancy, much to the delight of fans.
On February 2, 2024, Tseng confirmed the birth of their son with a heartfelt post on social media, featuring a photo of the baby holding a red envelope, a traditional symbol of good luck during Lunar New Year.
“Our son arrived just in time for the Lunar New Year. While caring for a newborn can be exhausting, the joy far outweighs the challenges. It’s a happiness like no other,” she wrote.
