Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese pop superstar Jolin Tsai has finally addressed the ongoing rumors that she has rekindled her romance with actor Eddie Peng for the past six years.
In an interview reported by Taiwanese media on July 23, Jolin responded to the speculation with a mix of humor and disbelief.
“I honestly don’t know how this story on the internet has gotten to this point,” Jolin said.
She also expressed that she feels content with her life regardless of her relationship status.
“Whether I have someone or not, I feel good. I’m very satisfied with where I am right now,” she added.
Earlier reports from Taiwanese outlets claimed that Jolin Tsai and Eddie Peng had reconciled in 2019 and have been quietly dating ever since.
These claims were fueled by numerous photos and coincidences found on social media, including the two allegedly sharing similar items and experiences, such as matching roses on Valentine’s Day and visiting the same exclusive restaurant.
One notable incident cited by the media was a photo of Eddie Peng with a restaurant owner, where he held a rose identical to the one seen in Jolin Tsai’s selfie.
Media also noted Jolin’s trip to Portree, a small town in Scotland, which she described as a “healing journey”, just two months before Eddie Peng’s film “The Dog Pack” had a screening there.
Despite the mounting speculation and circumstantial evidence, Jolin Tsai has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
Instead, she emphasized her contentment with her current life, making it clear she isn’t eager to clarify the romantic gossip.
