Overseasidol.com — On April 15, Malaysian idol group KLP48, the sister group of JKT48, officially announced their comeback single titled “Alasanku Maybe”.

This marks a significant milestone for the group as it is their first single not adapted directly from JKT48’s Indonesian translations, unlike their previous release “Heavy Rotation”.

The new track is a localized version of AKB48’s popular song “Iiwake, Maybe,” and is set to be released across digital music platforms on April 18, 2025.

Interestingly, KLP48 chose to retain the Indonesian title “Alasanku Maybe,” similar to the version used by JKT48, giving a nod to their regional sister group while still making it their own.

The single was first performed live at the Nijigen Expo 2025 on February 23, offering fans a preview of the group’s fresh direction and energy.

The senbatsu lineup for this release features first generation, Amanda, Ann Drea, Cocoa, Devi, Haruka, Hillary, Khalies, Lucine, Salwa, Suzuha, Tiffany, Yi Shyan, and Yurina.

With this release, KLP48 takes a notable step forward in establishing their identity within the 48 Group franchise, signaling a new era for the group as they begin to move beyond covers and present more localized performances for the Malaysian audience.
