Overseasidol.com — According to an exclusive report by Mirror Weekly, former NCT member Lucas Huang Xuxi has shifted his career base to Taiwan.
He is set to star in a new Taiwanese drama titled “A Time” / “Women de Niandai – Shihou”, alongside renowned actors Wu Kangren, Janine Chang, Ivy Chen, and Jerry Yan.
Lucas will portray the younger version of a character played by heartthrob Jerry Yan.
Lucas officially announced on April 1 that he had begun filming for the drama and has been living in Taiwan for over a month.
He is currently undergoing intensive training in acting, dance, movement, and boxing.
A Hong Kong–Thai mixed-heritage artist, Lucas debuted in 2018 as a member of the boy group NCT.
He was also part of WayV and the supergroup SuperM. However, in 2021, he became embroiled in controversy following allegations of inappropriate relationships with fans and soliciting money.
As a result, he withdrew from NCT and re-emerged as a solo artist last year under his own studio.
“Women de Niandai – Shihou” directed by Chao Shu Yao, will begin filming in April.
Set in 1963, the drama tells the story of a vibrant high school girl whose life changes dramatically after a car accident leaves her bedridden.
