Overseasidol.com — Thai actor Mew Suppasit has opened up about a terrifying moment when he temporarily lost vision in his left eye.
In a recent interview, Mew revealed the incident that left him shaken and concerned about his health.
It happened around 11 PM one night, when Mew suddenly couldn’t see out of his left eye.
“Everything just went black. I couldn’t see anything from that side. I was honestly really scared,” he said.
He immediately closed his eyes to rest. After about 30 minutes, the vision started to return slightly, but he was still seeing blurred shadows.
When he consulted a doctor, he was told the condition may have been caused by macular inflammation due to exposure to intense light.
The recovery process is expected to take three to six months.
During this period, Mew has been advised to avoid strong lighting and wear protective glasses when needed.
Mew also shared that at the time, his boyfriend, Tul Pakorn was in the shower.
When he found out what had happened, Tul wanted to take Mew to the hospital immediately.
However, since it was quite late, they decided to look things up online first. “Unfortunately, all the answers we found made it worse.
Everything pointed to something serious, like going blind,” Mew recalled.
Thankfully, his condition has since improved significantly. Still, he admits that he continues to experience dizziness and sees faint shadows, especially when exposed to strong lights or using a phone without glasses.
Mew Suppasit assured fans that he’s doing much better now and is committed to following medical advice carefully to ensure a full recovery.
