Overseasidol.com — On April 26, 2025, MNL48 held their highly anticipated mini-concert titled “REBOOT & RISE” signaling a powerful new chapter for the group.
The event opened with the classic “Overture,” followed by performances from each generation: the 1st Gen with “Aitakatta” 2nd Gen performing “Umiindak na Saya” (Skirt, Hirari), 3rd Gen with “First Rabbit” and 4th Gen delivering “Ikaw ang Melody”.
The concert continued with a series of solo performances. Highlights included Gabb’s special solo dance and her rendition of “High Tension”.
Jem’s emotional solos with “10 Taon ng Sakura” and “So Long” and Jan’s energetic solo stages with “Chance no Junban” and “Ponytail to Shushu”.
Dian, Alyssa, and Sheki also showcased their talents with impressive solo stages, displaying new sides of their artistry.
A significant moment came when it was announced that Jamie would take over as the new overall Captain of MNL48, succeeding Jem, who has officially graduated from the group.
The announcement was made during an MC session featuring the 1st Gen members.
The newly introduced unit, Quadlips, also performed energetic tracks like “Lipstick,” “Checklist,” and “Overdrive”.
The entire group came together for a rousing performance of “River” in their reboot formation.
As the encore, MNL48 performed “Manila48” and shared the exciting news that auditions for their 5th Generation will open on May 5, 2025, marking a fresh new beginning for the group.
