Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor Alan Yu Menglong, aged 37, passed away on September 11 after falling from a building.
Police concluded that it was an accidental fall caused by alcohol consumption, but public skepticism has continued to grow.
Recently, a new and bizarre rumor began circulating online, claiming that Yu’s body was never cremated but instead frozen in a storage facility at the Qihe Art Museum in Beijing’s 798 Art District.
The claim originated from journalist Li Muyang’s program News Spotlight, where an alleged “insider” stated that Yu’s remains were kept in the museum’s underground freezer and that the venue was temporarily closed to “destroy evidence”.
The source also alleged that the museum’s director personally supervised the transportation of the body.
However, according to several verified media reports, Yu’s body was cremated on September 24, and his ashes were buried in his hometown in Xinjiang.
So far, there has been no official confirmation regarding the “frozen body” theory, and its authenticity remains uncertain.
Despite this, the speculation continues to spread online, adding more mystery to the tragic case.
