Overseasidol.com — Netflix has released the official trailer and key art for its upcoming movie “10DANCE”.
The movie is adapted from Sato Inoue’s manga, which follows two male dancers driven by passion, rivalry, struggle, jealousy, and love.
It marks the first collaboration in eight years between Ryoma Takeuchi and Keita Machida, who share the lead roles.
Takeuchi plays Shinya Suzuki, a Latin dance champion with world-class skills. He chooses to stay focused on domestic competitions because of a personal reason.
Machida portrays Shinya Sugiki, a top ballroom dancer who once ranked second in the world and introduces Suzuki to the world of “10 Dance”.
The cast also includes Shiori Doi as Aki Tajima, Suzuki’s passionate Latin dance partner, and Anna Ishii as Fusako Yagami, Sugiki’s calm and elegant ballroom partner.
The film is directed by Keishi Otomo, known for the Rurouni Kenshin series.
The trailer highlights dynamic performances, including Suzuki and Aki’s Latin dance and Sugiki and Fusako’s ballroom routines.
It also shows the growing connection between Suzuki and Sugiki. All four lead actors took on the challenge with no prior experience in ballroom dancing.
“10DANCE” will be available exclusively on Netflix worldwide starting December 18.
