Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group NGT48 officially introduced its 6th generation members during the NGT48 Spring Concert 2026, held on April 11 at Niigata Terrsa.
The announcement took place during the daytime encore, creating an exciting moment for fans.
The reveal began with a screen display announcing the debut of the new generation.
Senior members then invited the eight newcomers onto the stage, where each introduced themselves briefly to the audience.
The new lineup consists of eight members with an average age of around 15.
Notably, seven of them are from Niigata Prefecture, highlighting the group’s strong local roots. Additionally, five members are still in junior high school.
With the addition of Sato Honoka, the group now has four members sharing the surname “Sato” making it a fun talking point among fans.
During the MC segment, new member Katayama Shuri revealed that she had been a fan of NGT48 before joining and used to attend theater performances regularly.
When asked by Otsuka Nanami about her favorite member, she named Suzuki Ririka.
