Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group STU48 has premiered the Music Video (MV) for “Kizutsuku Koto ga Seishun da” on their official YouTube channel on August 20, 2025.

The track serves as the lead song of their 12th single, set for release on August 27, 2025.

For this single, Sayaka Takao, a second-generation member, takes the spotlight as center for the very first time.

The song portrays the struggles, growth, and brilliance of youth imperfect yet beautiful.

It was first performed on August 10, 2025, during the opening show of the nationwide “STU48 Live Tour 2025 Kizutsuku Koto ga Seishun da”, and immediately struck a chord with fans thanks to its heartfelt lyrics about the “pain of youth.”

The MV was filmed at Hiroshima Prefectural University, featuring Takao and other members embodying girls who bear pain yet strive to become stronger.

Their expressions convey the difficulty of sharing hidden emotions during adolescence, capturing the bittersweet struggles of growing up.

As the story progresses, their faces gradually transform into determined ones, mirroring the powerful lyrics.

Dance scenes are another highlight, visually expressing the emotional changes and adding depth to the song’s message.

The result is a moving and impactful MV that vividly portrays the beauty and struggles of youth.

Alongside the title track, the 12th single also includes several new songs. “Aozora wo Katariaou” delivers a message of peace, marking 80 years since the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, with STU48 serving as Peace Culture Ambassadors.

Another special track is “Ano Koro no BGM”, a unique collaboration between STU48’s Yura Ikeda and enka singer Yuuki Tokunaga.

Fans can also look forward to the first live performance of “Hito no Tonari wo Hashiruna” and “Ikuchijima no Setoda Lemon Jakee” during the Hiroshima tour stop on August 23, 2025.
