Overseasidol.com — On July 8, Chinese actress Sun Feifei reignited public discussion with a bold statement on social media, addressing the violence she experienced during the filming of Blood-Colored Romance.
Her post emphasized the importance of speaking out, no matter how long it’s been.
“After being bullied on set, I finally woke up,” Sun wrote.
She added, “Never suppress your pain. Speak up when you’ve been wronged. I won’t stay silent and harm myself anymore, I suffered from depression that turned physical and developed Cushing’s syndrome.”
She declared that those who caused harm should be the ones held accountable.
“It’s not my burden to bear,” she added, challenging critics to confront the truth.
Sun’s comments came amid renewed criticism.
Previously, she had defended actor Wang Yang and was accused by some of “riding on his popularity”.
In response, Sun clarified that the statement she made years ago defending Wang had actually been written at his request.
The issue stems from her 2023 public accusation against director Zhang Hanjie, whom she claimed orchestrated a violent incident during filming.
At the time, an old interview surfaced in which Wang Yang reportedly said, “A director wouldn’t hit someone just because of a disagreement,” prompting backlash for seemingly siding with the production.
Wang Yang later apologized, admitting his remarks were inappropriate.
Sun then publicly asked fans not to blame him, explaining that he wasn’t present during the incident.
She also revealed that Wang had often confided in her on set, sharing that he too had been mistreated by the crew.
