Tank, who debuted in 2003, has long battled a congenital heart condition.

His health struggles forced him to slow down his career in 2007 and eventually step away from the spotlight for nearly a decade.

He managed his condition through regular checkups and medication. His most recent public appearance was in June last year at a music festival in Shandong.

According to Chinese media reports, Tank underwent Asia’s first-ever simultaneous heart and liver transplant for a patient with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy complicated by liver failure.

The procedure is considered one of the most complex in the field of organ transplantation, requiring precise coordination and advanced medical expertise.

Surgeons noted that such operations, involving the simultaneous replacement of both organs under extracorporeal circulation, are extremely delicate and carry a high risk of failure.

Tank was officially discharged from the hospital on April 7, marking a miraculous recovery and a hopeful new chapter for the artist who has endured years of health challenges.
