Overseasidol.com — Thai actress and model Thanaerng Kanyawee has finally spoken out after a video of her dancing at an opening event in Udon Thani Province went viral and drew heavy criticism online.
In the clip, Thanaerng was seen repeatedly glancing at the dancers below the stage, leading many netizens to suspect that she hadn’t rehearsed properly and that another performer should have taken the lead role instead.
Responding to the backlash, Thanaerng said she had seen the criticism but chose not to comment earlier because she didn’t want to negatively affect the event organizers.
“Now that the organizers have issued their clarification, I can finally explain the situation,” she said.
According to her, what happened on stage was an unexpected mishap. “I did rehearse and learn the choreography, but the music and intro were changed without my knowledge. That’s why in the video, I was trying to follow the other dancers,” shee explained.
She revealed that the event organizers have since apologized, and she has chosen to move on from the incident.
“I did feel awkward when I realized the music was wrong. My manager quickly took me off stage to avoid more mistakes,” she said with a smile.
However, she later returned to the stage to perform with the city’s mayor during the final segment.
