Overseasidol.com — Vivo officially released a teaser today confirming actress Tian Xiwei as the Aesthetic Ambassador for its upcoming vivo S50 Series.
The brand also announced that the new smartphones will debut on December 15 at 7 PM.
The lineup consists of two models S50 Pro mini and S50 featuring 6.31-inch and 6.59-inch displays respectively.
According to the company, the vivo S50 Pro mini will become the first compact smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, Qualcomm’s newest chipset built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm N3P process.
It features Qualcomm’s third-generation Oryon CPU, the same architecture found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Ultra, equipped with two 3.8GHz super cores, six 3.32GHz performance cores, and an Adreno 840 GPU.
Meanwhile, the standard vivo S50 will run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a chip derived from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform using a 4nm process.
In terms of imaging, the entire vivo S50 Series comes equipped with the Sony IMX882 periscope lens, a large 1/1.95-inch sensor often found in flagship-level smartphones.
The S50 Pro mini features a VCS ultra-sensing main camera paired with the IMX882 periscope telephoto lens.
On the front, it offers a 50MP anti-distortion soft-light selfie camera, accompanied by an all-focus-range flash system similar to vivo’s high-end models.
Vivo highlights its latest natural portrait algorithm, designed to preserve authentic facial details and avoid excessive AI beautifying effects that result in artificial-looking images.
With its combination of powerful performance, compact design, and flagship-grade imaging, the vivo S50 Series is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smartphone launches at the end of the year.
