When Japanese bullets once again threaten their last place of refuge, the villagers have no way out—only the resolve to stand their ground and defend their home.

A newly released poster accompanying the trailer shows Mo Dexian gripping a hammer while confronting armed Japanese soldiers.

The intense and foreboding atmosphere reflects the deadly struggle at the heart of the film.

Written by Lan Xiaolong and directed by Kong Sheng, “Gezhi Town” is produced by Hou Hongliang.

The cast is led by Xiao Zhan, Peng Yuchang, and Zhou Yiran, with Yang Xinming, Aruna, Gan Yuchen, Zhou Siyu, and Yan Zhidu also starring, and a special appearance by Yin Zheng.

The film follows a group of ordinary citizens who bravely resist Japanese invaders to protect their homes.

Mo Dexian (played by Xiao Zhan), a machinist, evacuates with his family into the mountains.

There, they encounter Xiao Yan (Peng Yuchang), an anti-aircraft commander abandoned by his main unit, along with a few surviving soldiers. The group eventually settles in a place called “Gezhi Town.”

Their peaceful life is short-lived when a Japanese scout team unexpectedly discovers the village, shattering the calm and forcing the villagers to rise up.

What begins as simple rural life becomes a fierce battle as unarmed civilians take on a fully equipped military force. In the “Fight for Home” trailer, the emotional intensity is unmistakable.

Amid the chaos, Mo Dexian urges the villagers to stand their ground, Xiao Yan reacts warily to the sound of gunfire, and Xia Cheng clutches her child tightly as explosions surround them.

The intertwined fear, determination, and will to survive heighten anticipation about the unfolding story.

“Gezhi Town” will be released nationwide on December 6, with advance tickets now available.
