Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor Yu Shi recently shared his thoughts in an interview, emphasizing that he sees himself as a creator rather than a celebrity.
“I’m a creator, I’m an actor, not a star,” he said firmly. “I work at a riding and archery center, and I’m also a songwriter,”.
Yu Shi expressed his hope that people would recognize his real work and dedication.
“I want everyone to see what I’m truly doing, but many times, that part gets erased,” he explained.
The actor also admitted feeling hurt when labeled a ‘pretty face’ or ‘vase’, a term often used to describe someone who looks good but lacks real talent.
“It’s painful to be seen that way,” he said honestly.
Through his words, Yu Shi reminded the public that behind the glamour of showbiz, many artists are working hard to be acknowledged for their craft not just their looks.
