Overseasidol.com — Former BOY’Z member and TVB actor Steven Cheung has recently drawn public attention after frequently speaking out online about his financial difficulties.

His wife, Wenwen, also revealed that debt collectors have been pressuring them.

In a recent interview with an online media outlet, Steven addressed these issues and clarified several public misconceptions.

Steven shared that the family’s monthly expenses exceed HKD 30,000, largely due to his children’s dietary needs.

One of their children suffers from digestive sensitivities and requires a specific brand of hypoallergenic milk formula, which adds a considerable financial burden.

When asked why he hasn’t applied for public housing, Steven responded that he already has, but the process takes time.

“Even single parents or the elderly need to wait three to four years how much longer for someone like me?,” he said.

He also spoke about his wife’s fragile health, particularly her heart condition, and said he tries his best to protect her from physical strain

. “There was a time I worked from 8 AM until 10 PM. If I finish early, I go pick up the kids from school,” he shared.

Steven expressed his gratitude toward kind-hearted mothers who donated used toys for his children and mentioned that a recent family visit to Disneyland was only possible thanks to a fan who gifted them annual passes.

He appealed to the public to show more compassion and reduce the online criticism aimed at his family.

Born on November 10, 1984, in Hong Kong, Steven Cheung is of Chinese and Dutch descent and rose to fame as a singer and actor.

In November 2024, he was spotted working as a plumber on the streets of Hong Kong and has previously posted online requesting public donations.
