Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actress and TV host Patty Wu recently revealed that she lost approximately NT$4 million (around $135,000 USD) after being embezzled by her longtime manager, Jiang Yujin, who had been working with her for a decade.
Devastated by the betrayal, Patty announced that she has officially terminated their professional relationship.
During an event on July 25, 2025, she spoke publicly for the first time about the incident.
Fighting back tears, she admitted that her “heart felt like it was bleeding,”.
She explained that she had trusted her manager completely, even giving Jiang YuJjn full access to her home over the years.
The issue came to light after Patty Wu’s accountant suggested she follow up on unpaid fees, which had been pending for one to two years.
When confronted, Jiang Yujin claimed that the delays were due to companies failing to pay.
However, one of the clients, who is also a close friend of Patty, provided proof of payment.
Upon further investigation, Wu discovered that Jiang Yujin had been using a dormant company account to reroute payments, with amounts totaling millions of New Taiwan Dollars, all of which were stolen.
Wu Yi Pei admitted that she felt more heartbroken than angry.
She said, “We worked together for 10 years. Trust… feels like something impossible to fix now,”.
She also revealed that her husband and parents were furious about the betrayal.
Wu has accepted that recovering the NT$4 million may not be possible but confirmed that she has handed the case over to her lawyer for legal action.
Following her public statement and the termination of her contract, people now recognize her as a victim, which means she no longer faces financial pressure from outside parties.
