She captioned the post with, “Hair will grow back quickly,”. The sudden change sparked concern among netizens about her well-being.
Her family later addressed the issue, clarifying that Zihan’s new hairstyle had nothing to do with illness.
“She was simply tired of long hair and wanted to try something short. There is no health problem,” her family told reporters.
They emphasized their full support for her decision.
“She can do whatever she likes as long as it’s not against the law. She is living well in Beijing, and her current focus is rest,” they added.
Earlier in April, Aria had already made headlines when she announced her decision to retire from the entertainment industry.
At the time, she shared a heartfelt note saying she wanted to return to her private life. “I hope everyone can understand my decision,” she wrote.
Aria is known as a former SM Entertainment trainee who gave up on her dream of debuting in South Korea.
After returning to China, she signed with Yuehua Entertainment and participated in the iQiyi survival show “Youth with You 2”.
Because she didn’t make it to the girl group debut, she returned to the agency and debuted with Yuehua’s latest girl group, “NAME.”
