Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actress Joanne Tseng recently returned to the spotlight after becoming a new mother.
She attended a fashion launch event and shared her experiences of motherhood.
When asked about the ongoing formula milk debate, Tseng admitted she is not an expert and did not pay much attention to it.
She recalled crying in secret after giving birth because she struggled to produce breast milk.
She explained that the pain was not only physical but also emotional.
“Every mother wants the best for their child, but we still need to do what we can within our limits,” she said.
Tseng also revealed that writing letters to herself helped her cope with postpartum stress.
She confessed that after childbirth, she often felt anxious and insecure. She questioned even the simplest actions, such as holding her baby or crossing the street.
“Before giving birth, I was not like this. After delivery, my mind really turned into mush,” she admitted.
Fortunately, the difficult period only lasted two weeks. With the gentle support of her husband, actor Calvin Chen, she regained her confidence.
He constantly reassured her by saying, “Our home is safe, and you are doing a great job,”.
