Overseasidol.com — iQIYI Original has officially announced a Thai drama version of the well-known Chinese novel No. 1 Student, written by Mu Guahuang.
The new adaptation, also titled No. 1 Student, will be released as a Thai drama with an exclusive UNCUT version available only on the iQIYI app and website.
The series is described as a clever and fun romantic comedy with strong bromance elements. It centers on two students who are widely known as “problem kids” but in reality, they are academic geniuses pretending to be troublemakers.
One of them is He Zhao, a charismatic student who acts like a laid-back slacker and enjoys showing off his dramatic talents.
The other is Xie Yu, a brilliant but cold-tempered student who never avoids confrontation.
The story begins when their school undergoes a merger. As a result, the two most infamous “bad boys” end up not only in the same class but also sharing the same desk.
The drama follows their chaotic journey as they try to maintain their fake “troublemaker” image while slowly developing feelings for each other.
