The opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony, drawing excitement from fans and industry observers alike.
The ceremony was attended by key figures, including Nariaki Terada, the overseas producer of the 48 Group, Devi from the first generation, Yip Chun Huei as KLP48’s Representative Director, Yi Shyan, captain of the first generation, representatives from LaLaport BBCC, and Alice from the second generation.
Their presence symbolized the formal launch of the theatre as KLP48’s new home and main performance venue.
The construction of KLP48 Theatre was first confirmed in April 2025, and its completion in December fulfilled months of anticipation among fans.

Located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most vibrant commercial and entertainment districts, the theatre is expected to become a new cultural attraction.
Beyond serving as a regular performance space, it is designed to foster closer interaction between members and fans, staying true to the core concept of the 48 Group theatre system.
