Overseasidol.com — Legendary action star Jackie Chan has once again caught public attention after revealing his unconventional communication habits.
During his appearance on the talk show “Blue Feather Interview”, Jackie Chan shared that he does not use WeChat and instead relies on text messages for daily communication.
The actor explained that his decision is rooted in a personal principle: avoiding anything that could potentially become addictive.
Jackie Chan admitted that his past experiences made him cautious about habits that could consume too much time and energy.
“Anything that can make me addicted, I choose not to learn,” Jackie Chan said. He recalled a period in his youth while living in the United States, when he struggled with an addiction to arcade games.
According to him, he once spent countless hours in game rooms, playing all day with just a few coins.
At one point, all ten arcade machines in a game center reportedly bore his name, “Jackie Chen,” because he used them so frequently.
“I wasted a lot of time on games, and I truly regret it,” he admitted. Jackie Chan reflected that if he had invested that same energy into studying Chinese language, classical poetry, literature, or filmmaking, it would have been far more meaningful.
His candid confession resonated with many viewers, earning praise from netizens who saw his mindset as a valuable reminder about self-discipline and mindful living.
