Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actress and model Sharon Hsu, also known as Sharon Hsu, has revealed that she was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer and has since undergone surgery as part of her treatment.
According to Taiwanese media reports, Sharon first discovered an abnormality during a routine health check-up between September and October last year.
Doctors identified a tumor in her breast, prompting further medical examinations. She was later referred to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou for more detailed testing.
Following a biopsy procedure, doctors initially suspected stage 0 breast cancer.
However, the final laboratory analysis confirmed that one breast contained a stage 1 malignant tumor, while three benign tumors were found in the other breast.
To reduce the risk of the disease worsening in the future, Sharon decided to follow medical advice and undergo a double mastectomy along with reconstructive surgery.
The procedure was chosen as a preventive step to minimize the possibility of cancer progression or recurrence.
Her management team confirmed that the surgery has been completed successfully and that Sharon Hsu is currently focusing on recovery.
